Who are EKI?

We help retailers change and by working together we keep improving their business. So, when EKI approached us wanting to grow a loyal network of influencers and restaurants – we got straight to the heart of this and worked with EKI to understand their business model.

EKI provides an online platform that pairs up influencers with restaurants. They grow revenue for restaurants by connecting them with influencers, who will advertise their dishes on social media to their followers. Restaurants can use the power of networks to increase sales, while influencers get additional income.

The Challenge

EKI approached us wanting to grow a loyal network of influencers and restaurants. They wanted to understand if their business model was viable, with a clear path to profitability.  

The Solution

We went through our Re:solvdd framework to identify the market size of influencers and restaurants, ensuring these were attractive markets. We were mindful of emerging issues such as influencers and paid product placements.

We then compiled a ‘Unit Cost Economics’ study to determine what this would look like at scale, whilst being clear on costs to acquire new restaurants and influencers (CAC).

Also, we helped EKI focus on the data that matters, that’s why once we had determined a profitable business model for EKI, we used their data, augmented it with secondary data and analysed growth strategies for each step in building a stable sales pipeline.

Similarly, to keep EKI improving and delivering measurable and sustainable results – we made sure that KPIs were in place. This meant EKI could monitor progress and have the ability to determine when dips in growth would require intervention.

To ensure there were no missed opportunities, we committed further to automate some of EKI’s manual processes – particularly around data capture and their management of data.

The Results  

We formulated a successful strategy that helped EKI increase the size of their influencers. We also identified parts of their processes that we automated, thus reducing their fixed costs.

We leave EKI with the ability and confidence to tackle any future challenges they may face. EKI are now in a position to secure a round of financing.
